The Utah Rush South 95 girls are coming off of their first season of competition in the UYSA State Competitive Program. The team, coached by Andy Burt, finished in first place in U15 Division 3, which will earn them promotion to a higher level next season. The team finished with a record of 8-0-1 and conceded only 4 goals all season. Following up their successful run in State League play, the team secured Gold at the 2010 Utah Summer Games, playing up in U16.
Coach Burt had this to say: "This was a great season for our girls. We set a goal to go undefeated for the season and we were able to accomplish that. I'm very proud of the commitment and effort of these young women. We are looking forward to promotion and playing regularly against some of the best teams and players in the state of Utah. I'm confident, with our work ethic and commitment to improvement as a team, and as individuals that we will continue to have success at the state level." Following the upcoming high school season, the team will compete in out-of-state tournaments and friendly matches to prepare for the start of League play again next March.
